Tav Shaffer threw for 320 yards and Lipscomb Academy first-year coach Jamie Graham picked up his first win in the Mustangs’ 35-21 win over Briarcrest Christian.
Shaffer was 17-of-26 passing and also had three TDs. Cam Blivens caught nine passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns to lead Lipscomb Academy (1-2). Drew Patterson had 24 carries for 161 yards and a touchdown and Dante Fowler had 106 yards and a touchdown on three catches for the Mustangs.
BGA 35, Nashville Christian 28: Kaedyn Marable was 19-of-27 passing for 300 yards and a touchdown and had 11 carries for 104 yards and two touchdowns for BGA (3-0). Ethan Kellum added 152 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries and Locke Kennedy caught three balls for 113 yards. Jared Curtis was 18-of-26 passing for 207 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions and had 10 carries for 126 yards and two touchdowns for Nashville Christian (2-1).

Brentwood 56, Hendersonville 14: Gavyn Nelson had 11 carries for 88 yards and three touchdowns and caught four passes for 91 yards and two touchdowns for Brentwood (2-1). Reece Lackey returned a kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown and Caleb Sams was 8-of-18 passing for 47 yards with a touchdown and an interception for Hendersonville (2-1).
