Rutherford County Schools next year will again provide full week breaks for fall, Thanksgiving and spring, the Board of Education decided recently.
The 2025-26 academic calendar also scheduled many single day breaks, including for three-day weekends, and over two weeks off for the winter break.

- Thursday, Aug. 7: no school for students during teacher workday
- Friday, Aug. 8: first full day for students
- Monday, Sept. 1: schools closed for Labor Day
- Wednesday, Sept. 3-Friday, Sept. 5: progress reports to parents about students
- Monday Oct. 6-Friday Oct. 10: schools closed for fall break
