The Tennessean’s Student of the Week is honoring the songbirds of Middle Tennessee, just in time for the holiday season.

As students and teachers returned to their classrooms across Middle Tennessee after the Thanksgiving holiday, we asked principals, teachers and guidance counselors to send us their nominations for best singer, songwriter students in the lead up to the holiday season.
They responded with six students.
