The coldest conditions of the winter thus far are settling in across north Alabama and southern Tennessee. Frigid Arctic air will bring pipe busting temperatures over the next few days. Despite the cold air in place, little in the way of wintry precipitation is expected.
Sunny, but very cold conditions the rest of the afternoon. We won’t even get to freezing with afternoon highs in the upper 20s. It will ‘feel-like’ it’s in the teens with the wind.
Clouds return heading into Tuesday as a winter storm passes well to our south. Although some snow showers or flurries are possible, little to no accumulation is expected in north Alabama. Temperatures will again remain below freezing starting in the upper teens and only warming into the upper 20s…
