Elected Murfreesboro school officials unanimously opposed state legislation Tuesday allowing public schools to refuse to enroll students unlawfully in the USA.
Murfreesboro City School Board vice chairwoman Amenda Moore called for the elected school officials to vote on the resolution Tuesday against the Tennessee House Bill 793 and Senate Bill 836.
The amended legislation if approved also would allow public schools to charge tuition paid up front before enrollment to serve the students unlawfully present in the U.S. after refusing to enroll them with other children for a free education…
