PRYORSBURG, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — A four-month-long manhunt for a convicted sex offender has come to an end after he was found hiding in the walls of his mother’s home.
According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky and Tennessee authorities have searched for John E. West, 43, since November 2024. He reportedly failed to appear for trial in Graves County, and a warrant was issued for his arrest on bail jumping and violation of sex offender requirements charges. Furthermore, in Tennessee, West reportedly couldn’t be located after a parole violation, rendering his parole to be revoked after an aggravated assault and evading arrest conviction.

West is reportedly known to live at his 78-year-old mother’s U.S. Highway 45 South home, and according to the sheriff’s office, deputies have checked the house several times over the “past few months.” But he was never found, and his mom reportedly asserted she had no idea where he was.
“Sheriff’s deputies then began receiving information that West was in fact living at that home, in Graves County, and that West’s mother was hiding him,” the sheriff’s office said…
