NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — State legislators passed a bill Tuesday requiring more transparency in DUI arrests throughout the state, after a year-long investigation by FOX 17 News.
SB11166/HB1274 passed unanimously. It requires the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation to create a yearly report, accounting for the total number of “sober DUI” arrests in the state, and in which jurisdictions those arrests happen. That report can then be accessed by the public.
