Metro Nashville Police officers are investigating after a Drug Enforcement Administration agent opened fire during a drug raid outside a Midtown hotel, and one of the suspects was left fatally wounded.
The shooting was first reported just after 6 a.m. April 16 in the 100 block of 29th Avenue North, near the Fairfield Inn and Suites and about a block from Centennial Park.
“The agents performed first aid immediately on scene, and that suspect was immediately transferred to a local hospital, where, unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries,” Jim Scott, special agent in charge of the DEA Louisville Field Division Office, said in a press conference from the scene…
