For many, accessing proper nutrition is a daily battle, intertwined with challenges like housing instability, transportation barriers and financial hardship. A community cannot prosper when families struggle to put food on the table.
I had the privilege of hosting a recent roundtable at Second Harvest Food Bank with local leaders, healthcare professionals and advocates to address the growing crisis of food insecurity. Our discussion shed light on the many barriers families face in accessing nutritious food and how these challenges are deeply connected to broader health disparities across the region.
