NASHVILLE, TN – After more than two years of investigation, Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) officials have arrested 25-year-old Torion Bean Jr. in connection with the February 2023 hit-and-run crash that killed 26-year-old Kimberly Benezue of Clarksville.
Benezue was driving on Dickerson Pike near Old Hickory Boulevard on the night of February 4 when her Mazda 3 was struck by a stolen Dodge Charger traveling at nearly twice the speed limit. Bean, allegedly behind the wheel, fled the scene on foot. Benezue died at the scene.
MNPD Traffic Unit investigators and the department’s Crime Laboratory worked tirelessly to identify a suspect. DNA evidence collected from items left in the stolen Charger eventually led to Bean. Additional DNA results are still pending…
