At the special call Manchester City Budget and Finance Meeting on May 8, 2025, the Committee was reviewing the potential 2025-2026 City Budget.
Vice Mayor Mark Messick (who serves on the committee) made a statement about the proposed budget saying that he was not in the mood to give raises this year:
Alderman Donny Parsley and Alderman Thomas Crosslin both indicated that they agreed with Vice Mayor Messick.
Mayor Joey Hobbs indicated that raises for city employees are not being proposed in this budget, aside from longevity pay increase at 50 cents per hour for every five years of service…
