What has been described as a moderate sized earthquake in East Tennessee sent tremors that could be felt in North Georgia and the Upstate. The U.S. Geological Survey says a 4.1 magnitude quake hit Southeastern Tennessee around 9 AM, Saturday.
Shortly after, people around North Georgia and the Upstate began reporting feeling tremors from the quake. Those reports came primarily from White, Towns and Rabun Counties in North Georgia.
