MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) — Quality Furniture Company, a long-standing staple of Murfreesboro’s retail landscape, has announced that it is closing its doors after 56 years in business. The family-owned store began its final going-out-of-business sale on May 8, signaling the end of an era for the community.

Founded in 1969 by John Morris, the business quickly became known for its high-quality home furnishings and personalized customer service. For over five decades, the store served generations of local families, earning a trusted reputation across Rutherford County.

In more recent years, the business was operated by Morris’s stepson, Butch Jones, and his wife, Carolyne, who carried on the tradition of offering well-crafted furniture and exceptional customer care.
