RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — Rutherford County detectives are turning to the public for information after a man was killed in a shooting along Interstate 24 Sunday afternoon.
According to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and other law enforcement officers responded to the scene, located near the Waldron Road exit toward Murfreesboro, at approximately 3:50 p.m. on Sunday, May 18 and discovered a man with a gunshot wound.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation reported the two left lanes and the left shoulder at mile marker 64.8 of I-24 East were blocked from around 4 p.m. until after 6:30 p.m. due to “police activity.”
