A planned $76.4 million Barrett Firearms replacement factory on Manchester Pike with road improvements recently won zoning approval and will be moving forward.
A unanimous Rutherford County Commission backed the plan, proposed by Hamilton Development Company, for a light-industrial firearms factory moving from Interstate 24’s Epps Mill Road interchange to a nearly 170.4 acre property that’s slightly more than a half mile away and owned by John Whorley.
The factory is planned at 8808 Manchester Pike, part of U.S. Highway 41 and also known as Dixie Highway, on the southeast side of Rutherford County.
