Lebanon will look to implement sanitation fees to offset the rising costs of garbage pickup services after the Lebanon City Council divided its vote on the issue.
The council voted, 4-2 during its May 20 meeting to implement the fees with Camille Burdine and Geri Ashley the “no” votes. A second reading is scheduled for the Tuesday, June 3 meeting and if approved, the fees will take effect July 1.
The proposed sanitation fee is $20 per month per cart for residents and $40 per month per cart for commercial customers. The recycling program will be free instead of the current $15 per month…
