LEBANON, Tenn. (WKRN) — Nearly six months after a car sped through the Lebanon Square, went airborne, and crashed, officials announced a Murfreesboro man had been arrested in connection with the incident.
According to the Lebanon Police Department, an officer patrolling West Main Street shortly before 3:30 a.m. on Dec. 15, 2024, saw a vehicle heading eastbound at a high rate of speed.
Due to weather conditions and the car’s speed, authorities said they decided “not to engage in an active pursuit,” but they did notify nearby units and give them a vehicle description. However, before they could use other tactics to stop the vehicle, responding officers found the car crashed right off the Lebanon Square.
