Clinton Police and Tennessee DCS Probe Incident at Kiddie Korner Daycare After Child Injured

The Clinton Police Department, alongside the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services (DCS), is actively investigating an incident where a child was reported to have been injured at Kiddie Korner Daycare in Clinton. As reported by WVLT News, the news of the incident was first released on Friday without much detail, but it confirmed that both law enforcement and child welfare services were involved. Kiddie Korner Daycare’s CEO, Melissa Duff, stated that the incident occurred while a child was being put down for a nap and that the two staff members involved were dismissed immediately.

An announcement from the Clinton Police mentioned their ongoing investigation to closely parallel the inquiry launched by DCS. In a brief conversation with WATE News, they emphasized that this was an “isolated incident” at the daycare, located at 98 Mariner Point Drive. Duff announced the daycare’s full cooperation with the investigations.
