Volunteer Behavioral Health Care System awarded $599K

NASHVILLE, Tn. (June 18, 2025) — The Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) awarded $599,200 to Volunteer Behavioral Health Care System (VBH) from the Tennessee Housing Trust Fund (THTF) on Wednesday, June 18.

Rhea County Executive Jim Vincent said the facility will be used to house adult over 18-years-old in need of mental health services.

“I’m very excited about this,” Vincent said. “It’ll bring benefits to Rhea County that we usually have to look outside the county for. And it’s 100 percent funded at no cost to the county or any of the municipalities.”…
