Hotel evacuated due to restaurant fire in Franklin

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WKRN) — A hotel in Franklin was evacuated Saturday morning after a fire ignited in a connecting restaurant.

Firefighters were called around 8 a.m. to the fire at Granite City Restaurant & Brewery on McEwen Drive, which is connected to Drury Inn.

Guests and staff were evacuated from the structure while crews worked for several hours to extinguish the blaze. Officials said two hotel guests were transported to an area hospital, and one staff member was treated on scene and released.
