‘It’s just shock’: Watertown residents react to 82.5% increase in water and sewer rates

WATERTOWN, Tenn. (WKRN) — Shocked and blindsided. That’s how some Watertown residents said they felt after their water and sewer rates spiked more than 80%. News 2 spoke to frustrated neighbors and reached out to the mayor to understand what’s behind the drastic hike.

It’s like a splash of cold water, literally, for residents in the city of Watertown. “I was like, what? I thought there was something wrong at first,” Heather Heck said.
