Rutherford County Man Linked to Drug Trafficking Arrested in Warren County

McMinnville, TN — A Rutherford County convicted sex offender was arrested Thursday (7/10/2025) after allegedly attempting to deliver a large quantity of fentanyl to McMinnville, according to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies received a tip about the suspect’s travel plans and initiated a traffic stop after spotting the vehicle. The driver, identified as Robert Gordon Johnson, was taken into custody following a search that uncovered fentanyl and LSD, authorities said. He is now facing multiple charges (scroll down to read charges). The 32-year-old remains behind bars at this time.

Earlier that same day, authorities arrested Curtis Michael Turner of McMinnville. Evidently, in his case, law enforcement obtained a search warrant after receiving credible information that he was in possession of several illegal drugs. Officers served the warrant and searched the residence where Turner was known to be living. The confiscated list of drugs included methamphetamine, fentanyl, marijuana, and lorazepam. Mr. Turner was arrested without incident and transported to the Warren County Jail. The 53-year-old has since been released on bond (Scroll down to read charges).
