Relocated cannabis company at 250 jobs may add 100 — lobbying for easing of restrictive TN law

BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) — Cars pulled back into the parking lot of a former school Tuesday, their drivers headed back to a job processing and packaging THC products — in a state where much stricter limits on hemp products could put those jobs at risk.

About 250 people now work at the building for Gold Spectrum, a company that operates numerous Tennessee retail stores in addition to processing and selling THC products to wholesalers in more than 40 states.

“The jobs range anywhere from entry level production associate who’s coming in at $14.50 an hour all the way up to team captains, managers who are making north of $20 an hour,” Gold Spectrum Public Relations officer Neal Osborne said. “And then we have salary folks. We get health insurance, (paid time off). It’s pretty good company for folks to work for.”…
