Murfreesboro mayor warns city becoming ‘haven’ for homelessness, pushes for action

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Mayor of Murfreesboro is sounding the alarm, saying the city is becoming a “haven” for homelessness.

Murfreesboro Mayor Shane McFarland took to Facebook to address growing safety concerns and said Murfreesboro’s resources may attract more people without housing.

“If other communities don’t provide those resources, we end up turning into a haven for more people to come here, then I think that is a problem,” McFarland said…
