Dollywood fined $6,400 after employee injury on ride

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Dollywood’s parent company, Herschend Family Entertainment, has been fined $6,400 by Tennessee’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (TOSHA).

The fine came after an incident occurred in which an employee was injured while working on a ride.

According to TOSHA, the incident occurred in March when a worker was hurt while adjusting a belt on the Smoky Mountain River Rampage ride. The employee was flown to the hospital for treatment…
