Heat Advisory returns; dangerous heat for upcoming week

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A Heat Advisory is once again in effect for Middle Tennessee from Sunday through next Wednesday when heat index values (feels like temps) could be as high as 105.

In Kentucky, the Heat Advisory is in effect until Monday afternoon, when it is replaced by an Extreme Heat Warning through Wednesday evening for possible heat index values of 110-115.

In the short term, our only chances for temporary relief will come from scattered thunderstorms, which will be few and far between on Sunday and Tuesday, with medium chances in the heat on Monday and Wednesday.

Temperatures will be in the 90s, topping out at 98 on Tuesday, with feels like temps up 100-105 Sunday and Monday, and 105 plus on Tuesday and Wednesday, though scattered storms on Wednesday may temper that somewhat.

As of Saturday afternoon, we have gone 25 consecutive days with 90 degrees or higher temps.

SO WHEN WILL WE GET A BREAK?
