Murfreesboro, TN – Construction crews from Dow Smith Company are making swift progress on Murfreesboro Medical Clinic’s newest facility, located at 2042 New Lascassas Pike. The steel framework is now complete, and workers are actively building out both levels of the two-story, 30,000-square-foot medical center. The project marks a major step toward bringing vital healthcare services to one of Murfreesboro’s fastest-growing and previously underserved areas.
MMC President and CEO Joey Peay expressed enthusiasm about the pace of construction and the impact the new clinic will have. “Every day you come out and you see something else,” Peay said, noting that the building’s recognizable architectural style—shared by other MMC locations—is already visible in the steel structure. He added that MMC physicians are eager to begin serving residents in this part of town, where demand for medical care has surged alongside population growth.
That growth is no small matter. Murfreesboro’s population has increased by more than 136% since 2000, with the east side seeing a particularly sharp rise in new housing and families moving in.
