RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TN – School is officially back in session, as both Murfreesboro City Schools and Rutherford County Schools welcomed students for their first half day on Wednesday. Schools are closed to students on Thursday, which has been designated as a “Teacher Workday.”
The first full day of classes will take place on Friday, August 8, 2025, for students in grades 1 through 6 in the City Schools and grades 1 through 12 in the County Schools.
