Man facing charges for hitting Franklin Co. 4-year-old in face with tablet

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — A Tennessee man was arrested after authorities say he hit a child in the face with a tablet.

Franklin County Sheriff Shannon Oliver told News 19 that Noah Smith, 26, from Tennessee, was arrested Monday.

Sheriff Oliver said deputies met with the victim, a 4-year-old girl, and her mother following the incident. The sheriff said the mother of the victim’s boyfriend, Smith, got angry after the victim and his child got into an argument over a tablet.

According to the sheriff, the victim took the tablet from Smith’s child. When Smith saw this, Sheriff Oliver said he grabbed the tablet and used it to hit the victim in the face, causing her to go to the hospital and get stitches…
