BBB warns of email scam involving home address, house photos

JACKSON, Tenn. — The Better Business Bureau is alerting us to a new scam that can be a little frightening.

Most of the scams we warn you of are simple calls and emails trying to trick you. This one in particular can be a little scary.

Toddnetta Trice, with the Better Business Bureau of the Mid-South, tells us what it is.

“Scammers are now sending threatening emails claiming that they are watching you and demand money,” Trice said. “Usually it is cryptocurrency to pretty [much] keep you quiet and to avoid any type of harm.”…
