U.S. News and World Report released its ranking of the best regional hospitals in the U.S., and several from Tennessee made the list.
The best regional hospitals ranking has been conducted annually since 2011. Regional hospitals are general hospitals, as opposed to specialty hospitals, that have earned a high-performing ratings in at least nine procedures and conditions.
Nationally, 504 hospitals were recognized as the best regional hospitals. California had the largest number of hospitals listed, with 64 hospitals recognized.
