One truck driver is dead following a head-on collision between two big rigs in Franklin County.
29-year-old Zachary Williams of Liberty, Tennessee, was killed in the accident that occurred yesterday morning on I-35 northeast of Ottawa. Williams was traveling northbound on the interstate when his vehicle drifted across the grass median and into the southbound lanes of traffic. There, it collided with another semi truck driven by 52-year-old Thomas Romero of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Following the initial collision, Williams’ truck caught fire and became fully engulfed.
