Tennessee National Guard assisting with D.C. federal takeover

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Tennessee National Guard has been deployed to Washington, D.C., to help with President Trump’s federal takeover of the nation’s capital, according to D.C. Councilmember Brooke Pinto.

In a post on X, Pinto wrote that 1,000 soldiers from the Volunteer State, West Virginia, Ohio, Louisiana, South Carolina, and Mississippi were set to arrive in D.C. Sunday.
