Case Against Beth Tripp Dismissed

A misdemeanor offense against former Alexandria Mayor Beth Tripp has been dismissed.

Tripp, who resigned as mayor two months ago, appeared in DeKalb County General Sessions Court this week on a criminal summons charging her with trying to get the police chief at the time, Vincent Turocy to cancel a ticket on someone. Tripp maintained her innocence and the case was dismissed by Judge Brandon Cox after the criminal investigator for the DA’s office did not make an appearance in court to move forward with the prosecution.
