A Liberty man was found with Fentanyl during s probation search at his home on Monday
46-year-old Ricky Allen Ashford, II of East Main Street, Liberty is charged with simple possession of a schedule II drug. His bond is $10,000 and he will be in court September 11. Sheriff Patrick Ray said that on August 18 a deputy assisted officers with the Tennessee Department of Probation and Parole on a probation search of Ashford who resides on East Main Street in Liberty. While searching the living room area where Ashford sleeps, officers found a plastic film with a pink powder-like substance inside believed to be Fentanyl. It had a baggie weight of 0.40 grams. The substance field tested positive for Fentanyl and Ashford later admitted to the officer that it was Fentanyl. Also found during the search was a scale generally used for narcotics.
34-year-old Ricky Wesley Fults is charged with violating an order of protection. Fults, an inmate at the jail at the time of his arrest for this offense, is under a $2,500 bond.
