Murfreesboro Teen Arrested After Alleged Threat Against School in Nashville Area

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – A 19-year-old Murfreesboro man was arrested last week after allegedly making a violent threat against Christ Presbyterian Academy (CPA), a school that sits just outside the Brentwood city limits in Nashville, TN.

Authorities say Max Overholt, who had been working part-time as a contract dining services employee at CPA, made the alarming statement during a domestic-related dispute with his father at their Rutherford County home.

According to a Murfreesboro Police report, Overholt allegedly told his father, “I’ll shoot up the whole [expletive] school if I want to.” His father told investigators he could only assume the comment was directed at CPA, since his son has no ties to any other school…
