Nearly 8,000 children are currently in foster care in Tennessee, all waiting to find their permanent home.
It’s part of the reason why the Dave Thomas Foundation for adoption is expanding its Wendy’s Wonderful Kids program across the state, partnering with the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services and Youth Villages.
This means 12 new adoption recruiters will be hired across the state to focus on helping Tennessee’s longest-waiting children, including teens, sibling groups and kids with disabilities find their forever families.
