MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — September is the Hunger Action Month nationwide as a part of Feeding Americas campaign. Throughout the month, Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee is raising awareness and inspiring action in the local community. Over 200,000 East Tennesseans are facing food insecurity.
Hunger Action Month is all about educating making a change. With a 32% rise in food insecurity over the last two years, Second Harvest is working hard to bring the issue to the forefront. Hunger Action Month is designed to inspire.
