Early Childhood Education programs in Tenn. to lose state funding through TECTA

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) – The Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance (TECTA) is an organization that provides training and tuition assistance. The group said on Wednesday that state funding for the program has been cut, which may keep some students from earning their degree.

East Tennessee State University (ETSU) serves as a hub for the Eastern region, where the group supports 150 early childhood students across ETSU, Northeast State Community College and Walters State Community College.
