Missing woman found dead in La Vergne parking lot

LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Less than 24 hours after a woman was reported missing, her body was discovered inside her vehicle in La Vergne Wednesday.

The La Vergne Police Department said a call came in about an unconscious female in a car in the McDonald’s parking lot along Murfreesboro Road on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

Authorities posted on Facebook shortly after 12:15 p.m. that emergency personnel had responded to the lot, which was treated as an active crime scene. Community members were urged to avoid the area until further notice.

When law enforcement arrived at the scene, they determined the woman was dead. Officials identified her as 21-year-old Jocelynn Krauss, who was reported missing around 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 16 after failing to return home from work…
