Traffic stop leads to drug bust in La Vergne

LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs on Wednesday morning, according to the La Vergne Police Department.

LVPD said an officer stopped a vehicle near 107 Dick Buchanan Street for multiple traffic violations at around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

During the stop, the officer smelled marijuana. The driver then reportedly admitted to being in possession of drugs, leading to a probable cause search of the vehicle.
