NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Middle Tennessee is bracing for a late-summer mix of heat and thunderstorms, with highs in the mid-90s followed by storm chances Sunday afternoon into Sunday night. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Nashville is cautioning residents to prepare for both extreme heat conditions and shifting travel risks as the weekend closes out.

By Sunday, temperatures hold near 92 degrees, but storm chances increase…..
