At the September 8, 2025 Coffee County School Board Meeting, Director of Coffee County Schools, Scott Hargrove recommended that a policy a revision be made to Coffee County School Board Policy 1.806, to include an American Flag and Tennessee State Flag in every classroom:
The Policy reads, in part:

- No flag other than that of the United States of America and state of Tennessee may be displayed on school grounds, including classrooms, unless it is a country, state, school, or United States military flag used solely for educational purposes within the adopted curriculum.
