MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WKRN) — Murfreesboro City Schools recognized their post-pandemic success and plans for growth at Tuesday morning’s State of the Schools address.

The district said they’ve recorded their highest math scores since the pandemic — outperforming the rest of the state by more than 5.5%. The district also reportedly saw a steady decrease in chronic absenteeism and gains in their English as a Second Language program.

“We just want to make sure every child is taken care of, every student is prepared for the future, and we’re together as a district to make sure that happens,” Dr. Trey Duke, Director of Murfreesboro City Schools, told News 2.
