Record Attendance at No Kings Rally Saturday

Murfreeesboro, TN – Sunny with temps in the low 80s makes this afternoon’s (10/18/2025) “No Kings” rally more enjoyhable for local participants. It takes place from 2:00 to 4:00PM downtown along Broad Street between South Church and Vine, just behind Linebaugh Library. The change came earlier this week after organizers realized The Avenue was already juggling two public events and its usual Saturday bustle. With all those crowds converging, it simply wasn’t the right fit.

Susan Myers-Shirk, who leads Murfreesboro Indivisible, emphasized that the move wasn’t due to any issues with The Avenue. In fact, she praised their support, saying they were “extremely accommodating” during the first No Kings rally back in June and remain open to future collaborations. Originally, the October 18 rally was planned for the downtown Courthouse, but concerns about crowd size led organizers to try The Avenue—only to discover it was already packed with activity…
