Average First Frost Timeline in Middle Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Let’s talk about something that gardeners and plant lovers love to keep an eye on every fall, the first frost of the season. I know, I know… It’s been unseasonably warm for most of the season; it’s hard to even think about it. Believe me, it’ll be here before you know it!

The first frost is when temperatures drop to 32° or below, which is when we see frost forming on surfaces.
