MURFREESBORO, Tenn. — There’s good news in a case that has kept Murfreesboro residents concerned for weeks. The search for missing teenager Cecilia Sarmadi has come to an end. According to Murfreesboro Police Public Information Officer Larry Flowers, “Missing Teen BOLO Canceled! Cecilia Sarmadi has been safely located.”
The announcement comes after Sarmadi, 17, had been missing for more than 60 days.
Earlier this month, Murfreesboro Police asked for the public’s help in locating the teen, who was last seen on the morning of Friday, August 19, 2025. According to investigators, her father reported seeing her outside their home waiting for her school bus before she disappeared.
