PARIS, TENNESSEE — A Tennessee doctor is earning praise — and plenty of laughs — after delivering a baby while fully dressed as The Joker from The Dark Knight.
Dr. Paul Locus, an obstetrician at Henry County Medical Center, was attending a Halloween party when he received an urgent call that one of his patients had gone into labor earlier than expected. Instead of taking time to remove his elaborate Heath Ledger–inspired costume, the family insisted that he stay in character for the delivery.
So, with green hair, smudged makeup, and purple gloves, Dr. Locus safely delivered Brittany Selph’s baby girl, Oaklyn, in a moment that the family — and hospital staff — will never forget.
