NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Police say a convicted felon on probation out of Rutherford County was the man who was randomly firing shots from his car, causing several schools to go on lockdown.
Marcos Palacios-Amaya, 24, is now in custody in the Downtown Detention Center on charges of felony reckless endangerment, gun theft, unlawful gun possession by a convicted felon, and felony evading arrest.
According to police, Palacios-Amaya was firing shots from a stolen AR-15 rifle for more than an hour, stopping inside the Plaza Mariachi, then began shooting random shots from the parking lot and near a mobile home park on Waikiki Boulevard, which led to a police chase through the south side of Nashville…
