NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — With a surge in solar activity, parts of Middle Tennessee were treated to the aurora Tuesday night.

NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center reported a strong solar flare spotted on the sun, which sparked a severe-level storm watch for Earth. As such, some News 2 viewers submitted some great pictures of the action:
